The lighting of exhibition and display environments is among the most varied and difficult demands in the discipline. A good design must be mindful of art or artifact preservation and conservation concerns, while using light to reveal to the intended viewers. Often these requirements are at odds, and the challenge of meeting them can be formidable. In zoo and aquaria projects, further expertise concerning the role light plays in enriching the animal habitat is of prime importance. Reed Burkett Lighting Design has collaborated on many successful projects where these complications arise.
